This past week, my college roommate and bff Nicole and her bff from high school, Meg, took a FANTASTIC trip to South Beach. Our hotel was where the party was at - the Clevelander. Great service, good eats, a pool, a roof terrace with cabana beds, a second roof deck with lounge chairs, a sister hotel with a calmer pool, access to the beach, and nonstop music blasting.
Some highlights from the trip include a day of sunbathing and brunch at Nikki Beach, after dinner cocktails at the Delano, shopping on Lincoln Road, checking out the club scene at Set... I learned that I'm not as into clubbing as I used to be (the scene in South Beach was a bit rowdy/drug infested for us). Of course we spent tons of time lounging by the pool, soaking up sun on the beach, and getting dolled up for our adventures.
An awesome fact about South Beach- the food is amazing! Our dining adventures include Japanese/Peruvian fusion cuisine at Sushi Samba, comforting Italian at Carnivale, a night of fine dining at Emril's Miami, authentic Mexican at El Scorpion, a serious steakhouse experience at the Meat Market, and possibly the hottest server ever at the Atlantic Grill.
It was a great girly get-away and a perfect way to end the most stressful semester I've ever experienced.
